Approaching 2.7 km wide asteroid 1998 QE2 has its own 600 meters wide Moon - May 30, 2013

Approaching asteroid 1998 QE2 has a moon.

Researchers found it in a sequence of radar images obtained by the 70-meter Deep Space Network antenna at Goldstone, Calif., on the evening of May 29th (May 30th Universal Time) when the asteroid was about 6 million kilometers from Earth.

First radar images of asteroid 1998 QE2 were obtained when the asteroid was about 3.75 million miles (6 million kilometers) from Earth. The radar collage covers a little bit more than two hours. Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/GSSR.

These findings show that 1998 QE2 is a binary asteroid. In the near-Earth population, about 16 percent of asteroids that are about 200 meters or larger are binary or triple systems Also revealed in the radar imagery of 1998 QE2 are several dark surface features that suggest large concavities.

The closest approach of the asteroid occurs on May 31 at 1:59 p.m. Pacific (4:59 p.m. Eastern / 20:59 UTC), when the asteroid will get no closer than about 5.8 million kilometers, or about 15 times the distance between Earth and the Moon. This is the closest approach the asteroid will make to Earth for at least the next two centuries.

Time Travel Tunnel Discovered in China - May 30, 2013

A time travel tunnel was discovered in China. The "time tunnel" as the locals call it, is said to be able to reverse time.

Is time travel possible? Perhaps...a time travel tunnel apparently exists in GuiZhou China.

The tunnel is over 400 meters long and apparently when driving through the tunnel, the time on your cell phone jumps back one hour.

The reporter who wrote this article for China's Gui Yang Evening News personally tested this tunnel and reported the phenomenon happened eight out of ten times after driving through the tunnel on May 22.

So basically here's how it works, say you enter the tunnel at 9 am and exit at 9:05 am, the time on your cell phone will display 8:05 am. The time is corrected after traveling a kilometer from the tunnel, according to mobile phone users.

Strange Reality: Physics of the Hollow Earth

While Man has spared no expense to explore the Heavens, we know precious little about what's right beneath our feet. The beginnings to unlocking that mystery starts with the discussion of whether the Earth is solid or hollow.

If it's hollow, as many physicists believe, that fact has profound implications for our future. The key to endless energy may be in that void in the center of the planet.

Lost civilizations may be down there, is there a vast, secret, long-forgotten cave system through the Earth? Could this labyrinth still be in use, or capable of use?

A simple experiment (Watch video 2) makes a great argument for hollow Earth theory.

The hollow Earth is not possible in today's understanding of physical so called laws. Physics today requires gravity to be the main force. In the the electromagnetic universe theory electromagnetism is the main force in the universe.

So in this model the centrifugal forces separate the earth through densities giving a hollow core. However, the other portion of the Earth and it's atmosphere would be mainly influence by electrostatic attraction and pulling in matter from outer space, thus explaining our atmosphere being lighter in mass, yet still existing in the outer sphere of the planet.

Wind speeds were 150 to 175 EF3 to EF4 before the tornado ripped the instruments off the top of the TIV.

City of Heracleion sunk into the Mediterranean sea 1,200 years ago 2013

Heracleion was an ancient Egyptian city near Alexandria. It was known as early as the 12th century BC but its importance grew during the waning days of the pharaohs, the late period. Herakleion was Egypt's main port in the time of the pharaohs.

It was famous because it was believed that Helen of Troy and Hercules had visited the city, and that the city had even gained its name from Hercules. There was also a large temple dedicated to the Greek hero at the city center. Pharaoh Nectanebo made many additions to the temple in the 4th century B.C. In the 6th or 7th century A.D.

It sank, probably due to major earthquakes and floods. The ruins submerged in the sea were finally located and rediscovered by the French underwater archaeologist Franck Goddio in 2001.

In cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry for Antiquities and the support of the Hilti Foundation, the team has recovered important information on the city’s ancient landmarks, such as the grand temple of god Amun and his son Khonsou and the city’s harbours.

Now archeologists are unearthing the mysteries of Heracleion, uncovering amazingly well-preserved artifacts.

So far, 64 ancient shipwrecks and more than 700 anchors have been unearthed from the mud of the bay, the news outlet notes. Other findings include gold coins, weights from Athens (which have never before been found at an Egyptian site) and giant tablets inscribed in ancient Greek and ancient Egyptian.

Weird expanding halo of light over Hawaii - May 25, 2013

On May 25, 2013, around 03:35 local time, a huge expanding halo of light was seen over Hawaii. This footage is from the Canada France Hawaii Telescope all-sky camera. In the time-lapse video, one frame equals one minute of real time. The halo is indicated.

The source of the Halo is maybe the testing of a missile, due to a fuel dump from a Minuteman III missile, which had launched from Vandenberg AFB just minutes before. This has happened at least once before, and was also shortly after a missile launch. The third stage of the missile opens up ports on the side that dump the fuel, which then rapidly expands in the near vacuum of the upper atmosphere, causing the bubble of light.

Another possibility is that military or astronomers testing a laser. Astronomers use lasers to simulate a fake star, this "laser guide star" is need to adjust the adaptive optics.

Or the strange halo may be caused by something unknown?

 

Baltic Sea 'UFO' Anomaly is at least 14,000 Years Old - May 26, 2013

A news update about the Baltic Sea anomaly was published in the Swedish Newspaper Expressen on May 24, 2013.

The circle in the Baltic Sea continues to perplex. New test results from Israel shows that a part of the circle is metallic - and researchers there think it is a metal that nature itself can not manufacture.

Swedish researchers say the opposite. It can be created in nature, but it has different conditions in different waters, says geologist Fredrik Klingberg.

In June 2011, the divers Dennis Åsberg and Peter Lindberg, a mysterious discovery on the Baltic seabed. Ocean X team found a circle with a diameter of 60 meters almost 90 meters into the sea. Previous test results from Tel Aviv has shown that there have been burnt organic material on the circle.

Now, the new test results from another part of the circle. Result from Israel shows that the bit is metallic and contains limonite and goethite.

Professor Dr. Steve Weiner of Israel says to the divers that there is a metal that not nature can produce itself.

-I do not know what to believe anymore. The response from Tel Aviv, the object that we found a metal that is designed, makes you get goose bumps, says diver Dennis Åsberg.

Swedish scientists have a different view.

Limonite and goethite close to hand with the BOG-IRON ORE. For me, this could be nodules, they are in many seabeds, says Fredrik Klingberg, a geologist at the Geological Survey of Sweden.

Martin Jakobsson, marine geologist at Stockholm University: -It is not at all surprising that you found those subjects, nature can produce it itself, he says The divers also found the stones of granite lying on top of the object and received information that indicates that the object has been there for 14 000 years.

-Then it could be done by people in the past. Before the Ice Age low was a lake where the Baltic is now and the subject is on the coastal strip, said Dennis Åsberg.

Martin Jakobsson think this sounds reasonable. -I have said it before and are still clinging to it - it seems to be a geological objects that had lain there for long. Ambiguities about the mysterious circle makes scientists skeptical.

-I am very skeptical about the whole thing, so difficult, it should not be that hard to find out what it really is. One can make such documentation at that depth, says Johan Rönnby, professor of maritime archeology at Södertörn University.

Dennis Åsberg agree that it is mysterious - but says he's happy to receive help to find out what it is. All are welcome, they are welcome to come down and dive here. We can not do it, we do not have the resources required, he says.

EARTHQUAKES 8.3M Sea of Okhotsk, Russia, 5.7M California, 6.3M and 7.4M Tonga, today May 24, 2013

A massive 8.3Mearthquake struck the Sea of Okhotsk, Russia on May 24, 2013. The M8.3 quake is on top of the 6.3M 7.4M earthquake which struck Tonga (west Pacific)and the 5.7M which struck Greenville, California.

A large Earthquake (and very deep - 373.9 miles) . Location is the Kuril Islands vicinity -- a long volcanic chain located along the Northwest Pacific ring of fire. This area has been under extreme stress / heavy movement for the past several days, hundreds of earthquakes at the same location.

Also, worthy to note the OTHER large movement today in Tonga (west Pacific) a 7.4M and 6.5M. Finally, the west coast USA movement.. 5.7M *5.9 revised*, followed by a large swarm in North California.

Then.. a 4.2M in Utah.. and a 4.7M in southern California (wiped off the USGS database).

Earthquakes Central Arkansas:

An unusual number of earthquakes have been reported in Central Arkansas since Monday. More than a dozen have been reported across Morrilton, Strawberry, and Choctaw. A 3.5 earthquake hit the area. The U.S. Geological Survey says there have been 16 earthquakes, which is a high number. This is definitely more active than what we have seen in a long time."

Since this happened, people are advised to have a disaster preparedness kit ready.

Amazing UFO over Santee, California - May 23, 2013

SANTEE, San Diego, Calif. - 10News went looking for answers after a local woman snapped photos of an unidentified object flying over Santee.

Ellen Henry told 10News her camera stopped working after snapping photos at a historical barn.

Henry said she is convinced that whatever she saw hovering over Santee's Edgmoore Barn is not from this world. She did not want to show her face on camera because she said she was still spooked by what she captured.

"I was like what was it doing there," said Henry. "Why was it there? What was it doing? And I said, the next time I come here, the barn will be beamed up."

The barn sits under several flight paths. 10News contacted Gillespie Field and MCAS Miramar, but neither could offer an explanation:

Some say what flew overhead is not out of the ordinary because of what has been reported around the barn.

"We think someone's come into the barn and we get up to look, and no one is there," said Elaine Murphy, president of the Santee Historical Society.

The group, which oversees the barn-turned-museum, said the property used to be part of a poor farm and hospital grounds. It also draws paranormal investigators because of reported ghost sightings.

Some residents are weighing in on the idea of a UFO hovering over a haunted barn.

"Oh yeah, I do believe we are not alone out here, that's for sure," said one resident.

10News checked with the National UFO Reporting Center and found that only one UFO sighting has been reported in San Diego during the month of May.

The total number of potentially life threatening objects to the Earth is 200,000 – 300,000 and only 2% have been identified by astronomers so far.

The most projects in space defense are passive. The only case of intervention on a space object was the deep impact experiment of bombarding nuclear on the Temple One comet.

Using ballistic missiles with a 1,5 tons payload to a danger approaching asteroid would be enough to destroy an asteroid up to several hundreds of meters in diameter.

On June 16, 1963, aboard Vostok 6, Soviet Cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova becomes the first woman to travel into space. After 48 orbits and 71 hours, she returned to earth, having spent more time in space than all U.S. astronauts combined to that date.

In 1963, Tereshkova was chosen to take part in the second dual flight in the Vostok program, involving spacecrafts Vostok 5 and Vostok 6. On June 14, 1963, Vostok 5 was launched into space with cosmonaut Valeri Bykovsky aboard. With Bykovsky still orbiting the earth, Tereshkova was launched into space on June 16 aboard Vostok 6. The two spacecrafts had different orbits but at one point came within three miles of each other, allowing the two cosmonauts to exchange brief communications. Tereshkova's spacecraft was guided by an automatic control system, and she never took manual control. On June 19, after just under three days in space, Vostok 6 reentered the atmosphere, and Tereshkova successfully parachuted to earth after ejecting at 20,000 feet. Bykovsky and Vostok 5 landed safely a few hours later. She never entered space again, and hers was the last space flight by a female cosmonaut until the 1980s.

But, was Soviet Cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova the first woman to travel into space?

The Torre Bert Recordings

The Judica-Cordiglia brothers are two former amateur radio operators who made audio recordings that allegedly supported the conspiracy theory that the Soviet space program had covered up cosmonaut deaths in the 1960s.

On May 19, 1961, the Torre Bert listening station ( Judica-Cordiglia brothers) in northern Italy purportedly picked up a transmission of a woman’s voice, sounding confused and frightened as her craft began to break up upon reentry.

Is this the first woman in space?

This is the supposed recording of a Soviet space flight in 1961. In it, a Russian woman can be heard complaining about the increasing temperature inside the craft before it is destroyed attempting re-entry.

This was recorded by the Judica-Cordiglia brothers in 1961. It is reportedly one of many transmissions intercepted by the two brothers that prove the existence of the lost cosmonauts.

Raw Footage of F4 Tornado Oklahoma intercepted from within a half mile - Radar pulsed HAARP rings? - May 22, 2013

The devastating, mile-wide tornado touched down near Oklahoma City on Monday, killing dozens of people -- including children -- decimating homes, businesses and a pair of elementary schools in the suburb of Moore.

Weather officials estimated the strength of the storm to be an F4 or F5 on the Fujita Scale, the highest rating a tornado can achieve.

The National Weather Service said the tornado's preliminary classification was an F4, with winds up to 200 mph.

The devastated area was an estimated 30 square miles.

The tornadoes came a day after powerful storms ripped through the center of the country, spawning at least a dozen tornadoes, causing extensive damage from Georgia to Minnesota.

NASA code 8 for NEO Asteroid 2013 KB, discovered on May 16, 2013

Asteroid 2013 KB was discovered just several days ago by NASA. NASA has put the code on 8, (0 is OK - 9 is very uncertain).

The closest approach '.008 AU' to Earth is on May 22, 2013.

Nevertheless, .008 AU is still about three times the distance of the Moon - Earth, or about 744,000 miles, but it is remarkable that Asteroid 2013 KB sits around the same position for almost 1 day before moving on.

6.8 Earthquake shakes Chile (12 M6+ quakes in one month) - May 20, 2013

A strong magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit central-northern Chile on Wednesday, shaking buildings as far away as the capital Santiago.

There were no reports of serious damage and there is no tsunami threat.

But it seems like the earthquakes increase in strength. Within one month, already 12 earthquakes of Magnitude 6+!

The Sun Rips off a Comet's tail - May 15, 2013

Comet Lemmon (C/2012 F6), which is receding from the sun not far beyond the orbit of Earth, has just experienced a "disconnection event."

A cloud of dusty plasma is propagating down the comet's tail, shown here in a photo taken by Paul Mortfield on May 15th:

Disconnection events can be caused by CME impacts. A famous example is that of Comet Encke in 2007.

Comet Lemmon, however, is not on the same side of the sun as active sunspot AR1748. It's hard to see how the recent X-flares can be responsible. Nevertheless, solar activity is high and comets are very sensitive to stormy space weather.

On April 20, 2007, the comet Encke had just dipped inside the orbit of Mercury, perilously close to the sun, when a solar eruption struck and literally tore the comet's tail off.

NASA's STEREO-A probe recorded a fantastic movie of the collision.

The eruption that hit Encke was a CME or "coronal mass ejection.

CMEs are fast-moving and massive, packing billions of tons of solar gas and magnetism into billowing clouds traveling a million-plus miles per hour.

Actually, it is a little surprising that a CME succeeded in ripping off a comet's tail. For all their mass and power, CMEs are spread over a large volume of space.

The impact of a CME exerts little more than a few nanoPascals of mechanical pressure.

The ripping action must have been something else.

"We believe the explanation is 'magnetic reconnection,'" says Vourlidas of the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C. Magnetic fields around the comet bumped into oppositely directed magnetic fields in the CME. Suddenly, these fields linked together--they "reconnected"--releasing a burst of energy that tore off the comet's tail.

Dark 1.7 miles long Asteroid 1998 QE2 to fly by Earth on May 31, 2013

It's 1.7 miles long. Its surface is covered in a sticky black substance similar to the gunk at the bottom of a barbecue. If it impacted Earth it would probably result in global extinction. Good thing it is just making a flyby.

Asteroid 1998 QE2 will make its closest pass to Earth on May 31 at 1:59 p.m. PDT.X The space rock's name is not an homage to England's Queen Elizabeth II, or to the famous 12-deck ocean liner that was retired from service in 2008. It's just the moniker assigned by the Minor Planet Center in Cambridge, Mass., which names each new found asteroid according to an established alphanumeric scheme that lays out when it was discovered.

Scientists are not sure where this unusually large space rock, which was discovered 15 years ago, originated from. But the mysterious sooty substance on its surface could indicate it may be the result of a comet that flew too close to the sun, said Amy Mainzer, who tracks near-Earth objects at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge. It might also have leaked out of the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, she said.

We will know more after the asteroid zips closer to Earth and scientists using the Deep Space Network antenna in Goldstone, Calif., and the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico can get a better look at it. Astronomers at both observatories plan to track it closely from May 30 to June 9, according to a JPL release.

At its closest approach the asteroid will still be 3.6 million miles from our planet (about 15 times the distance between the Earth and the moon), but it will be close enough for these powerful radar antennas to see features as small as 12 feet across.

"With radar we can transform an object from a point of light into a small world with its own characteristics," Lance Benner, JPL's principal investigator for Goldstone radar observations, said in a statement.

NASA leads the global effort to identify potentially dangerous asteroids. Our planet has been pummeled by space rocks throughout its 4.5-billion-year history, and more strikes are in our future.

The planet got a dramatic reminder of this reality this past Feb. 15. On that day, a 55-foot (17 m) object exploded without warning over Russia, just hours before the 130-foot asteroid 2012 DA14 gave Earth a close shave, missing our planet by just 17,200 miles (27,000 km).

There is no chance that asteroid 1998 QE2 could collide with Earth this go-around, and its next close approach won't be until 2119.

Still, Mainzer said the size of the asteroid, and its potential for mass destruction, should remind us that there are some scary things flying around in space.

"This is a really big asteroid, similar in size to the one that killed off the dinosaurs, and it's getting very close to us," she said. "Fortunately we've been tracking its orbit very carefully so we know with great certainty it won't hit us.

"We don't need to panic, but we do need to pay attention," she said.

For the past 8 years, NASA astronomers have been monitoring the Moon for signs of explosions caused by meteoroids hitting the lunar surface. "Lunar meteor showers" have turned out to be more common than anyone expected, with hundreds of detectable impacts occurring every year.

They've just seen the biggest explosion in the history of the program.

"On March 17, 2013, an object about the size of a small boulder hit the lunar surface in Mare Imbrium," says Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office. "It exploded in a flash nearly 10 times as bright as anything we've ever seen before."

The 40 kg meteoroid measuring 0.3 to 0.4 meters wide hit the Moon traveling 56,000 mph. The resulting explosion packed as much punch as 5 tons of TNT.

Unlike Earth, which has an atmosphere to protect it, the Moon is airless and exposed. "Lunar meteors" crash into the ground with fair frequency. Since the monitoring program began in 2005, NASA’s lunar impact team has detected more than 300 strikes, most orders of magnitude fainter than the March 17th event. Statistically speaking, more than half of all lunar meteors come from known meteoroid streams such as the Perseids and Leonids. The rest are sporadic meteors--random bits of comet and asteroid debris of unknown parentage.

U.S. Space Exploration Policy eventually calls for extended astronaut stays on the lunar surface. Identifying the sources of lunar meteors and measuring their impact rates gives future lunar explorers an idea of what to expect. Is it safe to go on a moonwalk, or not? The middle of March might be a good time to stay inside.

UFO Sightings In Canada On The Rise 2013

UFO sightings in Canada are at an all-time high, according to Canadian sky-gazers.

The annual report from Ufology Research documented 1,981 UFO sightings in Canada in 2012, more than double 2011's record 986.

Chris Rutkowski, a civilian science writer who has produced the Canadian UFO survey since 1989, has just finished compiling all of 2012 reports.

"It's something across the board," said Rutkowski. "People in Canada were actually looking up into the sky more than in previous years."

The objects people witness come in a variety of forms — from triangles and balls of fire, to the more traditionally ovoid-shaped flying saucers, hovering in the sky.X 40% of Canada's UFOs were spotted in Ontario.

Adam Canning, 10, of Lake Charlotte, N.S., is one of the many hundreds of Canadians who are reporting UFOs. He said the UFO he witnessed with a friend earlier this year looked like an orb.

"I could see it in the distance for about a minute and then like boom, it went really fast," said Adam, standing on a hill near his house, pointing at the sky.

 Several Ufology experts say if the number of sightings keeps rising, Ottawa will have to pay attention.

Massive and destructive Tornado rips across Texas - May 15, 2013

A tornado slammed into a North Texas lakefront town of Granbury, demolishing homes and injuring an undetermined number of people.

Lt. Kathy Jividen of the Hood County Sheriff's office told CBS News that there are "most likely fatalities," but no information on numbers yet. She also confirms numerous injures, "some critical", and "at least three tornadoes have touched down." The area of damage is "extensive."

She also said crews are currently going home to home in the Granbury area searching for trapped bodies.X 

The tornado was part of a system of severe thunderstorms that spawned several tornadoes across North Texas, dropping large hail in some areas.

The extent of the damage and injuries was not immediately clear. However, police reported the hardest hit area was the Rancho Brazos subdivision and adjoining areas along Lake Granbury.

Another tornado hit the small town of Millsap, about 40 miles west of Fort Worth. Parker County Judge Mark Kelley said roof damage was reported to several houses and a barn was destroyed, but no injuries were reported.

Hail up to the size of grapefruit pelted the area around Mineral Wells on Wednesday evening. A police dispatcher reported only minor damage.

Also a tornado slammed into Hood County, Texas Wednesday, killing at least two people and injuring 100 others.

Kathy Jividen, a spokeswoman for the Hood County, Texas, sheriff's office said there were "multiple fatalities" in the wake of the storm.

Researchers from the University of Houston and the National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping appear to have discovered an ancient city in the South American jungle.

Researchers believe they may finally have uncovered the lost 'White City of gold' in Honduras using hi-tech scanners that let aircraft 'see' through dense forest.

What the archaeologists found — and what the new images reveal — are features that could be ancient ruins, including canals, roads, building foundations and terraced agricultural land.

According to legend, Ciudad Blanca or the 'White City' is full of gold and has been sought out by explorers and treasure hunters since conquistador Hernando Cortes first made reference to it in a 1526 letter to King Charles V of Spain.

Inspired by this legend, cinematographer and Ciudad Blanca enthusiast Steven Elkins sought backing from private investors to pay for the team at NCLAM to use their laser mapping technology to chart the forest floor of Mosquitia.

The archaeologists plan to get their feet on the ground this year to investigate the mysterious features seen in the new images.

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault was sealed in 2011. This seed bank will allow the world to restart agriculture given a global catastrophe.

The impending total collapse of the global financial system. It is as if various governments are not expecting to have to pay back their debts, perhaps anticipating a global economic reset due to reasons not currently stated.

Solar activity will continue to increase as the solar cycle progresses toward solar maximum, expected in the 2013 time frame.

NASA is now predicting that the Sun may generate unprecedented solar storms for a lengthy period in 2013.  They cannot accurately predict Earth's normal weather a week in advance, and it is by no means clear how NASA can do this with respect unprecedented weather on the Sun years in advance. They are saying that they are more dependent on vulnerable computer technology now. But we had similar dependencies in 2001 and 1990 when previous 11-year solar cycles hit. What is different about the current cycle?

Remote viewing experts mention a mysterious "object" about 13 by 30 kilometers, heading towards our Sun. (Maybe Comet ISON?).

Some might suggest that NASA is acting as if it has some extra information that is not currently stated! Besides, Darkskywatcher74 suggest that NASA is changing and manipulating orbital diagrams for comet C/2012 C1 - ISON.

Recent data from the remote viewing sessions, shows the mysterious "object" to approach our planet from the opposite side of the Sun. They say it will approach so close that it might break apart, turning into many smaller objects.

If it remains intact, the trajectory calls for an approach to our planet by an orbit a little greater than that of our Moon. But if it breaks apart from its close approach to the Sun, this may change.
